Word Focus

“Mind”, the noun means : the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought.
Sounds complex, doesn’t it ?
Let’s focus on the use of the word “mind” in structures rather than elaborate on the above.
1) wouldn't mind 😊 would like)
2) don't mind 😊 I am willing to)
3) would you mind 😊 will you please …?)
Pretty cool structures to master.
Please note that if followed by a verb, the latter will be in the gerund form (-ing).
Examples :
. “I wouldn’t mind retiring at 50.”
. “I don’t mind helping you. Spending more time with you is always a bonus.”
. “Would you mind making less noise ?”

Think about or of ... That is the question…

Think about or of ... That is the question…

1) "Think about" is used when you're actively considering something or concentrating on the thought of it.

2) On the other hand, "think of" is used when the idea comes to you.
In other contexts, to think of something means you're at least aware of the thing but may not have given it a great deal of consideration. If you think about something this normally implies more focused or extended attention. Some consideration has gone into an idea.

3) In most other cases, they are very similar and can be used interchangeably. Especially for actions in the future.

4) One thinks of someone concerning a particular event (divorce/death in the family), etc. One thinks about someone in general.
